Accommodations in Florida range from very low cost to high-end. Good lodging is generally expensive so it's best to plan well ahead for any travel you plan. You can always stay in a good hotel with all the conveniences that come with beach-front property and location.
Those who come to Florida to visit Disney World or Sea World often arrange to stay as near as possible to those entertainment parks. There is always the possibility that you can arrange to swap accommodations with Floridians if you have a home in your home state or country too. If you're a member of RCI, and are an owner of a timeshare, swaps are easily arranged to common popular destinations. Always plan in advance but never pay in advance if you can avoid it. If you own a home in another popular vacation or resort area, it is always a good idea to place a classified ad in Florida newspapers in the Orlando Sentinel or if you are planning a vacation around Miami, then one of the Miami newspapers requesting a swapping arrangement with your contact address and phone number. Setting up a web page or blog on blogger.com is a good idea because you can advertise your home with pictures and descriptions of the attractions in your area.
This may sound like a lot of work but really it isn't. Blogger is easy to use and will be a great contact address to write in your local advertisements for home swapping arrangements or other types of vacation rentals. Remember, planning is the key to finding a successful vacation rental or swap.
